FYI - another word for experience points is XP.
A new server mod is now installed allowing you to store your experience points into Ender Pearls! Once the experience is stored in the Ender Pearl, it turns into an Eye of Ender. The levels will automatically be deducted from you and put into the pearls. You can then safely store them in your locked chest or even sell/trade them to other players. When you want to use your levels to enchant something, simply put the Eye of Ender back in your hand and left click! The levels are added back to you!
To store your experience into Ender Pearls, do the following:
Quick summary
- Left clicking with an Ender Pearl in your hand will store up to 800xp into an Eye of Ender.
- Left clicking with an Eye of Ender that has XP in it will restore to you the XP.
- /pearlxp - tells you the amount of XP in the Eye of Ender you are holding in your hand.
- /pearlxp <level> - stores the XP value of the level you choose. Max 20 (800 xp). Use this if you want to store less than 800xp into the Ender Pearl.
Example
- Get 1 or more Ender Pearls (duh).
- While holding an Ender Pearl in your hand, left click. 800xp will be deducted from you and put in an Eye of Ender. Your level will be reduced.
- You can then go store that Eye of Ender safely in your chest for later use.
- To find out how much XP is stored in an Eye of Ender, hold it in your hand and simply type /pearlxp.
- If you want your XP back, hold the Eye of Ender in your hand and left click. The XP stored in the Eye of Ender is given to you and the Eye of Ender is turned back into a Ender Pearl.
- If you want LESS than 800xp stored, use the command /pearlxp <level>. For example, if you only want 225xp stored (level 10 worth of XP) then use the command /pearlxp 10. Only 225xp will be stored.
Some things to understand...
- The mod is set to only allow you to store a max of 20 levels worth of experience per Ender Pearl. That is equivalent to 800 xp. So, if you have more than 800xp you'd like to store, you will need more Ender Pearls.
- If you only are level 5 and left click with an Ender Pearl in your hand, you won't store 800xp. You will only store as much XP as you have. At level 5, you'd have 69xp, so, you'd only store 69xp.
- You can store LESS than 20 levels worth of XP. If you type in /pearlxp 8, you'd store 152 xp. If you type in /pearlxp 1, you'd store 7 xp, not that you'd do that. Refer to the chart below to see the xp values of each level.
- Levels are NOT stored into the Ender Pearl. Experience points are. However, when using the command, you specify the level. Weird I know. So, if you had two Eye of Enders with 800 xp in them each from doing 2 /pearlxp 20 commands, then you used up the 2 pearls, you would NOT get 40 levels. You'd get 1600 xp which would put you at level 29. Make sense? Refer to the chart below to see the xp values of each level.
